Bollards are the ideal way to protect buildings, windows, loading docks, equipment and other items, and are also popular for fully or partially blocking access to specified areas.

This bollard has been reengineeered from head to toe. The majority of the modifications to this popular model were to address and solve some integrity issues that arose with our bollard sleeves and hinged cap hole covers. The largest issues were with the hinges breaking when exposed to excessive weight like that of a car or truck directly rolling over the hinge. This sleeve and hinged cap were completely reengineered to protect the hinge. This new design includes welding a ¼” solid rod to the lid to keep it from directly resting on the hinge as well as incorporating a proprietary “inverted v” steel hinge protector such that the hinge free floats under this steel protection plate and no weight is ever exerted on the hinge itself.

Other functional improvements include the following:

  • 1. A new ¼” thick oversized removable polished bollard cap. The new cap is not only thicker but 1/8” larger in diameter than the bollard in order to ensure the removable cap sits squarely in the bollard.
  • 2. A new slotted key hole that prevents the cam lock from spinning/twisting when the key is inserted and turned.
  • 3. New 100% stainless steel embedment sleeve and hinged hole cover cap.

STANDARD FEATURES

  • Bollard height of 36”. Other heights are also available.

  • Full stainless steel inground sleeve with hinged stainless steel sleeve cap

STANDARD SIZES

  • 4” I.D. (.237 wall) Schedule 40 steel pipe; 6” I.D. (.280 wall) Schedule 40 steel pipe; or 8” I.D. (.322 wall) Schedule 40 steel pipe or 4”, 6” or 8” square tubular steel. Designate “-4”, “-6”, or “-8” or “-4SQ”, “-6SQ”, or “-8SQ” respectively after the model number for desired size.

STANDARD MATERIAL

  • Schedule 40 round steel pipe

MOUNTING OPTIONS

  • Removable embedded with Internal Locking Mechanism.

FINISH OPTIONS

  • Bollard: Hot-dipped galvanized; polyester powder coated; or stainless steel with a #4 satin finish. Designate “-G”, “-P”, or “-SS”, after the mounting designation for a galvanized, polyester powder coated, or stainless steel bollard respectively.
  • Embedment Sleeve: Stainless steel
  • Round Flange and Hole Cover: Stainless steel

SIDEWALL OPTIONS

  • Plain; laser cut steel bands; metallic bands; or inset reveals. Please designate “-LB”, “-MB”, or “-RB” after the size designation for a bollard with optional laser cut steel bands, metallic steel bands, or inset reveals respectively. NOTE: SIDEWALL OPTIONS ARE NOT MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE AND CAN BE MIXED AND MATCHED (E.G. A COMBINATION INSET REVEAL WITH LASER CUT STEEL BANDS, MULTIPLE REVEALS, ETC.).

CAP OPTIONS

  • Oversized flat cap NOTE: Other caps are available upon request

EYELET OPTIONS

  • Available with zero, one, two, three, or four optional eyelets for attaching cable or chain. Designate “-1”, “-2”, “-3”, or “-4” after the finish designation for bollards with one, two, three, or four optional eyelets.
  • NOTE: NO DESIGNATION IS NECESSARY FOR BOLLARDS WITHOUT EYELETS.

OPTIONS

  • Internal lifting handle; external lifting handles. Designate “-IH” for the optional internal lifting handle or “EH” for the optional external lifting handles.
